DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a free\, outdoor\, socially distanced concert in La Plaza Cultural Community Garden at East 9th St & Avenue C in the East Village at 2pm on Sunday\, December 6. Get free\, limited tickets at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ballad-of-cyclic-change-musical-performance-using-sound-sculptures-tickets-128777790839 If you’d rather join from home\, tune in online at https://www.facebook.com/nightmultimediaart/live or live on Instagram @NightMultimediaArt. You are invited to play the instruments yourself at the garden following the performance! \n“Ballad of Cyclic Change” is a multimedia\, collaborative art project with interactive sculptures by Kathy Creutzburg\, Mirabai Kwan Yin\, Jake Elkin and Aya Harota\, and live music by Jake Elkin accompanied by Amy Garapic and Ric Becker. Inspired by the biogeochemical cycles and how they mirror cycles in human lives\, we built acoustic kinetic sculptures from upcycled everyday materials and created musical compositions using the sculptures as instruments. By connecting human stories of transition to nature’s cycles we encourage people to feel connected to their planet. Come get inspired to share a story from your life of change or transition. \nMade possible by LMCC and New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA)
